Cassandra Wood, DO
I am a Florida native who believes in treating the patient as a whole and providing multi-faceted patient care. I come from a family of teachers, farmers, and physicians who shaped my values into what they are today. As a young adult, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at New College of Florida: the Honors College of Florida and learned how important the environment is to the health of those living in it. For medical school, I chose to go the osteopathic route because of its emphasis on mind, body, and spirit. I am excited to be a part of the Forrest General Hospital and Hattiesburg Clinic healthcare system and to provide high quality, comprehensive healthcare to the people of Hattiesburg and surrounding areas. When I’m not at the hospital, I enjoy being in nature, spending time with loved ones, gardening, science fiction and playing video games.
