Alex Huff, MD
I was born and raised on a farm in Puckett, MS with 2 brothers, a twin brother, and a bunch of dairy goats. I went to Mississippi College and then to UMMC. I have a passion and heart for serving the underserved communities of rural Mississippi and plan to go back to Mendenhall to practice traditional family medicine in the hospital, clinic, ER, prison, and nursing home. I also have a calling to overseas medical missional work with underserved people groups. Medicine is a calling for me. I serve and love others because God first loved me. I just want them to have a taste of His love. I hope to practice with an emphasis on whole person care, addressing people’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.
I convinced my beautiful Southern Californian wife, Katie, to stay here with me in Mississippi. We had our first baby girl, Eliza, in May. Katie and I both enjoy snow skiing and hope to train Eliza to be an avid snow skier as well. I love to travel and take long road trips. I have driven to 45 states, 7 Canadian Provinces, and Mexico. We both enjoy cooking, but more importantly eating. When we have time, we love having people over to our house to eat, talk, and play games. We hope to have a welcoming home with a door that is always open to whoever needs to come in.
